The story behind the photo:

We travelled to remote Namibia in Africa to get this shot. The Namib desert is the oldest desert of the planet and was formed 80 million years ago and boards the Atlantic ocean: those climatic conditions created a petrified forest! That's right the trees where changed into stone to a certain degree and they didn't rot due to the lack of humidity. The purpose of our travel was to photograph those beautiful petrified trees in the valley in the middle of the world's oldest Dunes. 
Accessing it was not easy, we had to camp one night before right at the entrance of the site and couldn't sleep due to a sand storm. We woke up at 4am to cross the park and arrive as close as possible we could with the car. From that point the mission was to reach the valley before the sun would rise. Unfortunately due to the lack of any indication and lack of sleep we ended up climbing the highest Dune of the Desert by mistake and could see from the top of it that we made a whole detour.
We climbed it down and finally found this magnificent petrified forest. I was a real adventure and we are very proud of the result. You now have the opportunity to take our story with you and share it.

• 1.5 inch thick wooden stretcher-bars that give it shape, in the same way an oil painting is traditionally assembled. There are no staples or ugly lines visible on the sides (very important).
